World of Rocks & Minerals

Learn about the properties of different rocks and minerals in this STEM Kit containing more than 80 specimens from around the world. It is one of many Outreach Kits available to NORWELD members.

STEM Kits

The Northwest Regional Library System offers a selection of unique STEM kits covering different concepts in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math. The STEM Kits are circulated to full member libraries for use in children's programming and in hands-on activity centers and makerspaces. Designed for children from preschool through grade 12, and in many cases appropriate for adults, there is something for everyone.

Each STEM kit includes a list of contents, games and activities, instructions for use, and programming ideas.

Storytelling Sets

The Northwest Regional Library System offers Storytelling Sets that are perfect for story time. Each kit includes a book and cloth characters compatible with felt boards and other hook and loop-receptive surfaces.

Availability: Full Members Only

Length of Loan: 2 Weeks (unless otherwise noted)

Designated Users: Library Staff

Delivery Method: Statewide Delivery

NORWELD offers two listservs for libraries to utilize for asking questions, facilitating discussions, and disseminating relevant news and information.
